Informally, yes. We invite you to be open with us about your dogs temperament. We observe your dog on his first day in daycare at Genesee Pet Resort. If ti is determined that your dog's social habits do not conform with the other dogs, he'll receive private exercise time that may be for a shorter period of the day.

Yes, we do take puppies. We recommend that your puppy is at least 12 weeks old as he/she had most of his/her shots by then.

We require your dog to have the following vaccinations: DHLPP combo within 1 year, Rabies vaccine within 2 or 3 years, and Inter-nasal Bordetella (canine cough) within one year. We also recommend Corona and Lyme Vaccines.

We require your cat to have the following vaccinations: Rabies vaccine within 2 years and FVRCP.

Yes. We have Bordatella and can administer it for a $12.00 fee. We can provide a Bordetella vaccine when needed. We’ve had situations where people thought their pet was up to date, and found out at the last minute that he wasn’t. We've also had situations where a shot expires within the time frame of boarding. Bordatella should be done at least 48 hours before boarding.

We do not have set drop-off or pick-up times. We will try to accommodate your needs.

Our Normal Hours are:
Monday to Saturday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Closed 11:30 am to 1:30 pm for quiet time
Sunday 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm

We have three shifts for outdoor play time, however, it depends on your dog and his/her activity level. Your dog has the opportunity to be outside during all three shifts. We’ll monitor your dog and let him/her stay outside if he/she is enjoying playtime, or we’ll bring your dog in if he/she is tired or stressed. We don’t have a strict schedule for play time. We want your dog to be happy and the least stressed as possible. A one-year old lab is going to want to play for hours, whereas, an elderly dog may want to walk around for a few minutes and go inside to lay down—we will accommodate each dog accordingly.

Yes, we understand that your dog may have special dietary requirements. Whether your dog eats a diet of raw meat, chicken and rice, wet food, dry food, or a mixture, we're happy to accommodate all types of eating schedules and diets. Just let us know.

Yes, we generally accommodate any kind of medication and feeding routine. For example, we can give shots or medication for diabetes, epilepsy, heart condition, or anxiety medications. We will also give your pup eye drops or ear drops, and we will also administer any antibiotics.
